Carbon Nanotube Synthesis – Download Presentation Here
Nanoparticles are particles which range from 1-100 nanometers in size.
Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs), mostly confused with carbon fibre, are allotropes of carbon with cylindrical nanostructure . CNTs have novel properties making them useful in nanotechnology, electronics and optics. CNTS also exhibit extraordinary strength and unique electrical properties, and are efficient thermal conductors.
There are different types of methods of synthesis of CNT, which we will discuss in detail in this presentation.
The methods are as follows-
1) Arc discharge technique
2) Laser ablation technique
3) Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique
This presentation was made by me during my first semester of Biotech Management. Hope this helps you get a clear view of CNT’s synthesis.
